The streets are a very dangerous place to live and can pose a threat to the homeless LGBTQ youth community. Being homeless on the streets can lead to problems of emotional, physical, and mental health. To try and get off this homeless situation, someone must find a job. However, no one would hire someone who was homeless because of the fear of being robbed. So theses homeless youth must find another way to make money because money is the only way they will be able to survive. It’s likely that some of these people will become prostitutes or get into drug dealing just because it’s the only means to their survival. Since they are at such a young age and they probably haven’t had proper education, they could also be at risk for HIV/AIDS or even death. The homeless LGBTQ youth have limited access to employment, shelter, and a healthy lifestyle which can effect crime rates and the safety of those individuals.
