My name is Keira and i am currently taking Social Justice 12 in my final year of high school. As part of this course I was assigned to pick an ongoing issue is society today. I choose to help bring awareness to the LGBTQ youth community, specifically in Vancouver, Canada. I chose this issue because I am currently a youth as well and knowing that there are youth experiencing homeless at such a young age is hard for me to imagine. I hope by the end of my project I will have brought awareness to at least one person about this issue. Even teaching one person to recognize that this is an ongoing issue will have made all this work worth it.
